I have worked in the non-profit sector and have seen the struggles in the areas of technology and marketing.  Conversely, I currently work in the private sector, and realize how proper funding and managing of technology can lead to better efficiency, documentation, sharing of Corporate/Intellectual knowledge, and usually an overall improvement in the health of the organization.

When I moved to the Greater DC area, I realized that I had a great opportunity to give back to society, and a community that is constantly in the shadows of the politics in Washington. I knew that even though I was not a Senior level Webmaster, or a brilliant marketer, I knew I had a great deal of the conceptual knowledge that many non-profits either don't have the time to learn, or the money to hire. Issues that nonprofits face can range from not knowing strategies to improve their brand, to increasing traffic to a website, to budget constraints, and to the basic demands of updating website pages on a regular basis. So, in 2007 I joined Greater DC Cares' Pro Bono Consulting group.

This site will eventually house knowledge that will help non-profits have the power to do technology projects on their own, or be able to know the important questions to ask when negotiating deals with technology companies.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like information or have suggestions regarding technology, web design, computer purchases, etc.
